Over 24 years of experience in all matters of financial services.
I began my financial career with the Royal London & then Countrywide Assured Group.
I created “Simply Mortgages” which went on to become the Clayton Hulme Partnership in 2003, when my sister Zoë and I joined forces.
Zoë & I set up Clayton Hulme to be able to offer clients a truly personal service. Truly personal is only possible to achieve in a company that you’ve designed & evolved yourself. Our passion, creativity and dedication still drive us, over 18 years on. In our business, our client’s goals are at the heart of everything we do.
Swam the channel as part of a 12 person team in 2005. Swam from Folkstone to France in 13 hours, raising over £100k for Hope & Homes for Children. I also run the Cheshire & Staffs Porsche Enthusiasts Club and love F1.
Over 25 years of experience in everything mortgages & protection.
Upon completion of my degree, I worked for Reeds Rains, the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and was headhunted by a St James’s Place Partner to head up their mortgage division.
Since setting up Clayton Hulme with Chris, we haven’t looked back. We’ve evolved into a hub for our clients every financial need. Michelle is my ‘right-hand woman’ in the office and between us, we do all we can put people at ease, guiding them through with care, understanding and giggles along the way.
I love to travel, especially to America and I’m a total Disney addict!
Outside of work I love shopping, cycling, wine, long walks with my spaniel, planning holidays with my hubby Matthew and smothering my daughter Heidi.
We’re looking forward to Sam joining the team very soon and we’ll be able to update you here!
I joined The Clayton Hulme Partnership in July 2012 as Zoë’s PA.
We’ve worked together for so long we make a brilliant team, focusing on providing a real personal & hands-on service to every single one of our clients.
I endeavour to treat every single client the way I expect to be treated myself.
I live in Didsbury and enjoy socialising with my friends and going on holidays.
I spend a lot of my spare time stood on cold football pitches & cricket fields, watching my son play sports.
I began my career in financial services over 12 years ago around the time of the crash!
I joined The Clayton Hulme Family in 2017, initially as a PA and Administrator to Chris & also undertook the training to become a Mortgage Advisor. I qualified in May 2019 and have thoroughly enjoyed advising clients ever since.
I’m really passionate about bringing the personal touch to family financial planning. I take all of the stress of the mortgage process away from my clients. My clients aren’t just clients, many are friends. I strive to build a great relationship with everyone I work with.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Thanks to my partner Kev, over recent years I’ve really embraced walking in the UK and abroad. He really does like to challenge me to some pretty intense routes, but at least there’s the promise of an ice cold beer when we’re done.
I began my career in financial services over 35 years ago, at the Investment Bank of Ireland, covering all aspects of investment financial planning products & services. Since moving to Manchester in 2000 I’ve since worked for an Asset Finance Company and within family-run property management companies. These experiences piqued my interest in qualifying as a Mortgage Advisor. I worked for Alexander Ross Mortgages before joining Clayton Hulme, where I’ve since achieved full Competent Advisor Status.
Helping people achieve their dream home via my work, is what drives me every single day. I love watching clients dreams become reality.
Outside of work I’m usually with my husband and 3 Sons. I also enjoy cooking, reading and pilates.
I’ve worked in an office environment for over 30 years in roles such as Receptionist, PA and most recently as a Legal Secretary for various Solicitors.
I joined Clayton Hulme in 2013 to support Chris in Corporate Protection and Group Protection markets.
I love working with clients and making a difference.
Outside of work my hobbies include gardening, bird watching, hiking, climbing and badminton.
I really enjoy Formula One and I’m a big Kimi Räikkönen fan.
I began my career at Countrywide Estate Agents. I spent 5 years getting to know everything about the property sector and how it works before moving to Together. I worked within their Completions Team, checking every application was correct before releasing monies.
I joined the Clayton Hulme Partnership team in 2020 as a PA to Clare, Penny and Tracy.
I support them on submission of mortgage applications and liaise with a range of with third parties to ensure every single step of the process is smooth up to completion.
Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my friends and family and reading.
On a college trip to London, myself and a friend got given free tickets from two members of the public to the premiere of one of the Narnia films. We had to walk down the red carpet in jeans and hoodies as we had just got off the train from Durham (not so glamorous), which turned out to be 5 minutes before the Queen arrived!
I qualified as a mortgage and protection advisor in 2019, joining Clayton Hulme after leaving the NHS as a Senior Nurse.
There are a surprising amount of crossover skills going from health into finance:
In essence, I’ve spent the past 25 years working under pressure to rigid timescales, dealing with confidential information, listening carefully to detail, problem-solving and performing detailed calculations.
My ‘new’ career allows me to really hone all these skills. The only key difference is that rather than caring for tiny tots, I now offer my care and nurturing attention to ‘grown-ups’! I help them achieve their home buying goals and ensure they have comprehensive protection in place: keeping their whole family safe and provided for.
As well as spending time with family, friends and walking the dog – I love being on the beach. I’m a keen sailor. I also love snow skiing although I’m pretty rubbish at it! The Apres-ski makes it all worthwhile.
I accidentally volunteered to be a navigator for one of the rally drivers in the Vauxhall Astra Stages Rally, as part of a fundraising event. Despite the fact I get really bad travel sickness..it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!
We have been given excellent financial advice over a number of years with Clayton Hulme Partnership. They are the best in the area and I would certainly recommend them to all my family and friends. They are professional in their approach and get things done very quickly. Friendly customer service with a smile and all the staff are able to assist you at anytime, regardless of the problems.
Always very good, friendly and prompt service. Communication very clear. Honest and balanced too. Continues to provide excellent, balanced and sound advice. They provide a very good overview of our financial issues and Chris is brilliant at suggesting solutions.
So responsive, helpful and patient. Amazing service and much appreciated especially during the current situation.
Great people to deal with, very helpful and considerate of our requirements. I can’t think of anything to improve, I was very happy with the service provided, willingness to help, the clarity of explanation of our choices and understanding of our requirements.
Excellent service from start to finish, highly recommend this amazing company to any of my friends or family. We were impressed with the welcoming team members and professionalism at every stage.
Tracy was especially great with keeping me up to date and responding to me quickly if ever needed.
It was all a fantastic service as we always get from yourselves. Penny explained everything to us, was a great help, and did it all for us. I could not recommend your company highly enough. What impressed us the most was that at a time like we are all going through, how smoothly and successfully it all went. To be honest, nothing can be improved.
Tracy has secured a mortgage offer from the TSB bank today after a painstaking application with regard to the lender, they didn’t make it easy for us or Tracy. I am going to be brutally honest … I must say Tracy has been absolutely fantastic, a credit to your business, she has been so informative, made calls and took call out of hours and really went well above and beyond the call of duty. I just want to say thank you for the excellent customer service I have received during the application process. Superb, a business I would highly recommend in the future.
