Data Protection
The personal information provided by you will be held securely and in confidence by us in our computerised and manual records. Occasionally, we may contact you by letter, telephone, e-mail or otherwise to inform you about other products and services which may be of interest to you. However, should you wish to exercise your right to opt out of such 'direct marketing' activity, please let us know by any means convenient for you. However, please remember that 'opting out' will stop us contacting you about any products or services which may benefit you. Under the data protection act you have the right at any time to know the personal data we are holding about you.
In the interests of maintaining this strict control of client data, The Clayton Hulme Partnership shreds all its confidential waste with cross cut shredders and where possible uses recycling options for disposal.
The Clayton Hulme Partnership will process all information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and it will be treated as private and confidential now and in the future. The only exceptions to this will be when the law requires us to disclose information or, with your consent, where disclosure is necessary when arranging or servicing your mortgage or protection contracts.
To fulfill our regulatory obligations, we will retain copies of your records for no longer than is necessary or for the duration of any contract you may enter into. You have the right to inspect these records at any time.
Our Future Relationship
Our ongoing business relationship with you is important and we would like to be able to contact you by telephone, post or email from time to time to review your mortgage and associated protection product arrangements and introduce other services that may be of interest to you from ourselves or our specialist partners.
We would not want to be intrusive and should you not wish to recieve such communication, please let us know.
Money Laundering
Under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 it is a legal requirement that we check the identity and residency of a client who we are conducting business with. No transactions will be made until such verification has been obtained. Typically verification will require sight of your original passport or photographic driving licence plus an original utility bill or bank statement.
