In September 2005, Chris undertook a charity event swimming across the English Channel in aid of the St. James’s Place Foundation which in recent years has followed the theme of ‘Cherish the Children’.
Hope and Homes for Children is the nominated charity to benefit from this great achievement which received over £100,000 raised by this event.
In November 2006 he was one of a group of 11 who took part in a cycle ride circumnavigating Cuba over the course of a week – a challenge no less gruelling than the Channel Swim.
In 2005, we sponsored our local Under 7’s and Under 8's football teams who now proudly play in red and white stripes emblazoned with our logo.
Having had an appalling first season in 2005/06, the trend has been reversed in the 2006/07 season with Leigh RMI Youth team being League Winners, playing 18 games without a single loss.
